Today, we went to TechStars-for-a-Day in Boulder. To prep, we updated the beta version of DoLeaf. Also, I got an organic cotton sweater (very leaf green), Micah got a snappy haircut (very James Bond), and Ryan got fancy business cards (very organic.) However, the hardest part of our prep was making these little packets of our favorite heirloom, Money Plant, to give out to prospective mentors. We used seeds from Botanical Interests, a great business out of Broomfield, Colorado.

We’re excited about how DoLeaf’s shaping up. I made a test nursery to try out the sign-in, build-a-store, add-an-item processes. Uploading images of each plant and adding in related material (description and growing needs) took only 1-2 minutes per plant. The design’s still kind of clunky, but the images look great!

The icons below each plant are automatically generated based on information the seller provides. They illustrate the plant’s growing conditions. Sun preference (sun, part-sun, shade), growth rate (slow, medium, fast) , cold hardiness, and shipping form (seed, bulb pot, bareroot) are shown here.
