Tomato Tasting and Seed Saving

Hannah over at This Garden is Illegal has been conducting tomato tasting sessions over the past few weeks. Along with great reviews, they also offer beautiful pictures of Black Russian heirlooms, Cherokee Purple, and White Tomesol tomatoes. Mmmmm…yum!

These reviews made me go back to one of my favorite online sources for heirloom tomatoes: the Seed Savers Exchange in Decorah, Iowa. Not only do they carry a great selection of seeds and transplants, but the pictures are as mouthwatering as the veggies themselves. Who wouldn’t want to chomp into an Amish Paste after seeing an image like this?

When planning next year’s garden, check out the Seed Savers annual catalog and get your camera ready. The snapshots and the BLTs will be equally juicy.
